Single-choice questions - Only one of the given responses can be selected. You have to choose which one is the correct answer to the question. You can change your selection as often as you like. Click on the "OK" button to confirm the highlighted answer.

Multiple-choice questions - Several of the given responses can by activated by a mouse click or deactivated again with a second mouse click. The number of current answers to multiple-choice questions varies from question to question. The question is deemed to have been correctly answered if all possible answers have been selected. You can change your selection as often as you like. Click on the "OK" button to confirm the highlighted answer(s).

Ordering questions - Here you are asked to click on the given responses to sort them into the correct order in accordance with the task set. The question is deemed to have been correctly answered if the responses have been placed in the correct order. You can change your selection as often as you like. The responses can be restored to their original order by clicking on the "restore" button. Click on the "OK" button to confirm the highlighted choice.

Guessing questions ask you either to estimate or calculate a value and enter it into the answer field. Click on the "OK" button to confirm your entry. The question is deemed to have been correctly answered if the entered value lies within the tolerance range defined by the program. The tolerance parameters take into account the level of difficulty of the question as well as any scope for rounding.

Some or all of the following functions are available to you while answering the questions:

  • OK ... this function is not activated until you have selected at least one possible response or entered a value. Use "OK" to confirm your selection / entry. This will then be used when calculating your score.
  • Pending ... this function enables you to put a question "on hold". You can answer any question immediately or skip to the next one. Additionally, you can also choose to mark it as pending. In any case all open questions will be marked as either unanswered or pending in the question status overview.
  • Give up ... displays the correct answer to the current question, which will then be treated as "unanswered" for scoring purposes.
  • Next question ... displays the next question in this learning stage.
