Introduction

10. Standard Functions

News

The "news" function is linked to an information system. Cyber*Trainer uses this function to supply you with relevant news and information relating to your specific training course. The "news" button starts to flash as soon as a new message becomes available, and continues to do so until you open the news overview.

Accessing this function opens a new browser window. The page is divided into two areas, one displaying "new messages" and one showing messages you have already looked at, the "read messages".

If you wish to print out the messages, simply click on the "print" button on your browser. The window together with the message display can be closed by clicking on "X" in the header.

Please note that each new news window must also be closed again. A new browser window appears each time you access the news function.

Statistics

The "statistics" function provides you with an overview of your training progress together with comparable data about the performance of your fellow trainees on the same course. This means that you are always aware of how you are progressing with your training in comparison with the course average.
When you access this function a new browser window appears. If you wish to print out the statistics, simply click on the "print" button on your browser. The window can be closed by clicking on "X" in the header. Please note that each new statistics window must also be closed again. An additional browser window is opened each time you access the statistics function.

Glossary

The "glossary" function provides you with useful additional information about your course. Use the button in the upper part of the page to select either the keywords listed under a particular "letter" or the "full list". A simple mouse click on a particular keyword displays the relevant explanation . If you wish to call up another keyword, access the keyword list again using the "letter" or "full list" button.

Accessing this function opens a new browser window. The window can be closed again by clicking on "X" in the header. Please note that an additional browser window is opened each time you access the glossary function. Each new opening process may take some time, depending on your PC settings. In order to save time, once you have opened the glossary we recommend that you do not close the browser window using the "X" button, but minimise it by clicking on the "_" button. The open glossary will then appear in the taskbar and can be quickly maximised again whenever you need it.

Trainer

A click on the "trainer" function opens your standard e-mail software. A new e-mail with the address of your Cyber*Trainer will appear on your screen. You can now compose the text of your choice and send it to your Cyber*Trainer using the "send" button. Your Cyber*Trainer will handle your query as quickly as possible.
